This unique programme combines teaching some of Namibia's children most in need of education
as well as working hands on at a spectacular animal sanctuary, in the heart of Africa.
At least three mornings per week will be spent assisting the teacher with the school for
Bushman children located at the wildlife sanctuary. You may also get involved with planning
and preparation, depending on the length of your stay. Find out more about the school and our
Bushman pupils
The rest of the time will be spent rehabilitating and caring for animals such as cheetahs,
wild dogs, baboons, lions, and leopards. Our baby and young baboons form a large part of
the project; volunteers become surrogate mums for the little ones, bottle feeding and
sleeping overnight with them. Read more about the
wildlife volunteer activities
Our aim is to provide volunteers with the wonderful opportunity of experiencing unspoiled
African wilderness in the knowledge that they are contributing to conservation
and education. Find out what activities you
will take part in as a teaching & wildlife volunteer, visit our gallery to see
pictures of our animals, the amazing scenery and past volunteers getting stuck in and
read some our volunteer stories.
Volunteers are key to the success of this special place. All the money raised through our
volunteering program goes directly back into the project which provides employment, education
and accommodation to the local Bushman community and ensuring the rescue, survival and
rehabilitation of the animals which are housed in natural environments around the site.
